The laurel tree by the yard entrance needed taking down

The first picture isn’t a before because MrAB got there before me – he’d already taken down one third. You can tell he’s not a blogger because it didn’t occur to him to take a photo before he started.

After a couple of hours shredding it’s gone. It looks much better – it’s also no longer necessary to duck as you enter the yard

Laurel smells like tobacco plants when you shred the leaves.

The yard is lighter and from the view from the kitchen better.

In fact, in just a few days the yard has gone from resembling a corner of Steptoe’s Yard to looking not to bad. There are still hedges to cut and shred but we are getting there.
