Last year I discovered the joy of pulled pork.
Easy to cook but delicious.
I made it several times and it was always lovely.
In December I inadvertently bought the wrong cut of pork and the end result was awful,
The meat didn’t shred and it was greasy and chewy.
MrAB manfully ate a portion saying it was “fine”.
The dogs benefited from the remainder.
Yesterday, when pushed MrAB admitted it had tasted like grease in a bowl.
On Sunday I decided to try again. Armed with the correct cut of meat (shoulder not leg) I followed the complicated recipe (place joint in Le Creuset, smother in barbecue sauce add a splash of full fat coke and stick it in the oven for 9 hours)
It was delicious.
