This year my tomatoes have been an absolute failure.
They were very slow to germinate and weedy for a long long time.
The three surviving plants produced very few flowers.
They resulting tomatoes were slow to ripen despite the sun and their cosseting in the greenhouse.
Today was the day, the first tomato was ready.
After a long day including a penultimate trip to the orthodontist I picked it.
I left it in the kitchen while I went upstairs.
So, how did it taste?
I don’t know, in my absence it apparently became a vital ingredient in MrAB’s cheese and tomato sandwich.
Apparently, it was delicious
